Q: What is the Boating Industry Top 100?
As determined by Boating Industry magazine, the Top 100 is an annual ranking of dealerships that are unsurpassed in overall business operations, customer service, professionalism, and all the characteristics that go along with them. The Top 100 Program is designed to recognize and celebrate the best among marine dealers and to share best practices and benchmarking data with all marine dealers.   

Q: What does it take to be recognized as a Boating Industry Top 100 Dealer?
Managing a dealership to high levels of customer service, high volume sales is no easy task. One prominent attribute of a Top 100 dealer is exceptional customer service. Simultaneously creating an atmosphere that exceeds high consumer expectations can be even more difficult. For the most professional of dealerships, however, these tasks have not only become second nature, but they are firmly integrated in the business’ day-to-day operations. They understand that delivering on the promise of the boating lifestyle - not just a boat - is the No. 1 key to success.

Q: When will the Top 100 be published?
In Boating Industry’s special issue dedicated entirely to the rankings, distributed at the Top 100 Dealers gala, held during the Marine Retailers Association of America convention in November, and in our January 2009 issue. A complete ranking will be published, along with feature articles on many of the dealerships. 

Q: What type of dealerships will be included?
The Top 100 will review applications from any and all North American-based dealerships.

Q: How will the Top 100 be selected?
Interested dealerships must complete all sections of the application form. Boating Industry magazine’s editorial staff will conduct in-depth follow-up research on each company. Your ranking will be determined through both the quantitative and qualitative data you provide.
